Решение

У меня была такая же проблема на Linux. Путь был верным, но у пользователя (apache) не было прав доступа к папке, поэтому функция is_dir вернула FALSE.

Просто откройте терминал и введите следующую команду:

chmod -R 777 "name of your project folder"
